Dedicated to electric cooker installation
I’m Zaf, and my team and I are dedicated exclusively to cooker, hob, and oven installation. We don’t do general plumbing or broad electrical work — we install cookers, and we’ve been doing it for over ten years. That singular focus means we’ve perfected every step of the electric cooker installation process.
When you book a general electrician for an electric cooker installation, you’re getting someone who fits cookers occasionally. When you book us, you’re getting a team that fits cookers every single day. We know the wiring requirements for every major brand, we carry the right test equipment in our vans, and we’ve seen every possible kitchen setup.
Our testing process
Safety isn’t something we take lightly. Every electric cooker installation we carry out includes a thorough testing process that goes beyond simply plugging in and switching on.
Where required, we carry out:
- Earth fault loop impedance testing — verifies the protective earth connection will trip the circuit breaker fast enough in a fault condition
- Insulation resistance checks — confirms there’s no breakdown in the wiring insulation that could cause a short circuit or shock
- Polarity verification — ensures live, neutral, and earth are correctly connected at the cooker outlet
- RCD trip testing — confirms the residual current device protecting the circuit operates within safe limits
- Visual inspection of existing wiring — checks for damage, overheating, or non-compliant connections before we connect your cooker
- Functional testing of all elements and controls — every hotplate, oven element, grill, fan, thermostat, and timer is tested
A perfected installation process
Over the last decade, we’ve refined our electric cooker installation process down to a system that’s fast, thorough, and consistent:

What customers say
Zaf did an excellent job installing my cooker. He was professional, efficient, and clearly experienced. He went the extra step by adjusting a pipe at the back so the cooker could fit properly, rather than leaving it sticking out, which I really appreciated.
He was also friendly and easy to talk to, which made the whole process smooth. His pricing was fair and reasonable for the quality of work provided.
Overall, a very high standard of service. I would definitely recommend him.
Booked online at 9am and the engineer arrived by 11:30am. My new Beko electric cooker was installed, tested and working perfectly within 45 minutes. Brilliant service — would absolutely use NW Cooker Installation again.
